Ray Rice - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Rice had 12 carries for 78 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well as one catch on two targets for five receiving yards Sunday against the Steelers. Rice scored on a 34-yard run in the third quarter that helped inflate his rushing totals on the day. He has now gone seven straight games without eclipsing 100 rushing yards, although his receiving totals had been good going into Sunday's matchup against the Steelers. He's got another tough matchup next week against a Redskins defense that came into Week 13 ranked in the top-five against the run this season.

Cam Newton - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Newton completed 15-of-27 throws for 232 passing yards and three touchdowns Sunday against the Chiefs. He also finished with seven rushes for 78 yards. Newton put together another strong performance and did not have any turnovers, extending his streak to three games without throwing an interception. His touchdown passes of 47, 23, and eight yards made it the first time Newton has thrown for three scores in a game this season. Additionally, Newton led the Panthers in rushing Sunday. While the Kansas City defense has not been very impressive on the whole this season, they certainly played with a great deal of emotion following the death of a teammate this weekend. Next week, Newton and the Panthers face a Falcons defense fresh off five interceptions of Drew Brees, so ball security will be vital.


Cam Newton - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Newton (wrist) is active for Sunday's game at Kansas City. Newton's wrist injury is nothing to be concerned about as he heads into Kansas City on something of a hot streak.


Larry Fitzgerald - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Fitzgerald caught one pass for 23 yards in Sunday's loss to the Jets. Fitzgerald was wide open on a few plays, but quarterback Ryan Lindley often missed him by five yards or more. As long as Lindley is the Cards' quarterback, Fitzgerald should stay on your bench, as Lindley just isn't capable of getting Fitz (or anyone in a Cards uniform) the ball.


Trent Richardson - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Richardson (chest) rushed for 72 yards on 20 carries, including a three-yard fourth-quarter touchdown against the Raiders on Sunday. He added three catches for 23 yards. Richardson has been dealing with some nagging injuries for quite some time, but it has not affected his play. He continues to be a workhorse for the Browns and an elite fantasy running back worthy of starting in all leagues. Richardson has been given at least 20 carries in five straight games, placing him in uncommon territory in today's committee-driven NFL.


Trent Richardson - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Richardson (chest) is active for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Richardson was listed on the injury report this week with minor injuries to his chest, ribs, and finger, but he practiced fully each day and is good to go for Week 13. He will face off against a Raiders defense that has given up 374 yards on the ground over the previous two games.


Frank Gore - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Gore rushed 23 times for 58 yards and a touchdown during the 49ers' loss to the Rams on Sunday. While it wasn't Gore's best game by any means, averaging just 2.5 yards per carry, it wasn't a total loss for fantasy owners as he did find his way into the endzone for his sixth touchdown of the season. Gore will have his work cut out for him next week when the Niners host the Dolphins who, after holding the Patriots to just 108 rushing yards in Week 13, have allowed an average of just 97.7 yards per game on the ground this season.


Frank Gore - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Gore (wrist/ribs) is active for Sunday's game against St. Louis. Gore had 115 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown against the Rams earlier this season and he remains a solid RB play going forward, given his role as the 49ers' clear-cut top back.


Jeremy Maclin - (Mon, Dec 3, 2012)
Maclin caught three passes for 38 yards against Dallas on Sunday. It's basically been a wasted year for Maclin, who heads into his 12th game of 2012 with just 44 catches for 542 yards and four touchdowns. He played 61 snaps against Dallas -- the second-most on the team among receivers -- but he had only five targets Sunday. He's probably ideally relied upon as little more than a hit-or-miss WR3 going forward.


Vernon Davis - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Davis caught just two passes for 15 yards during the 49ers' 16-13 overtime loss to the Rams. It looks like Week 11 was just a tease for fantasy owners as Davis spent another week being left out of the 49ers' passing game. He doesn't see nearly the same number of targets as he did in the first few weeks of the season and his fantasy value has plummeted to an all time low, averaging just over two catches and 27 yards per game with one touchdown over his last six. Save for the one game against the Bears two weeks ago, Davis hasn't been fantasy relevant since Week 5.


Tony Gonzalez - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Gonzalez caught four balls for 58 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's win over the Saints. Gonzalez led the Falcons in receiving, despite only recording 58 receiving yards. Gonzalez is averaging over 60 yards a game and has seven touchdowns in 12 games this season. The Falcons take on the Panthers in Week 14, a team that held Gonzalez to 51 yards on five catches earlier this season.


Tony Romo - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Romo completed 22-of-27 passes for 303 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's win over the Eagles. A nice game for Romo, who has thrown for over 300 yards in five of his last six games. He also has six touchdowns in his last two games, and will look to stay hot in an important Week 14 matchup against the Bengals if the Cowboys hope to stay in the playoff hunt.


Michael Bush - (Wed, Dec 5, 2012)
Bush (ribs) was limited in practice Wednesday, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Bush, who is currently dealing with sore ribs, ran seven times for 39 yards (5.6 YPC) in Week 13, as Matt Forte dominated the carries in his return from an ankle injury. While Bush's fantasy owners should watch his progress through the injury this week, be mindful that Forte will continue to receive the bulk of the rushes.


Michael Bush - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Bush had seven carries for 39 yards Sunday against the Seahawks. Matt Forte (ankle) looked healthy and dominated touches with 24 for 96 total yards on the day making Bush just a change of pace back again. That role does not figure to change against the Vikings, unless Forte were to aggravate his ankle injury during practice in the coming week.


David Akers - (Mon, Dec 3, 2012)
49ers GM Trent Baalke said that the 49ers plan to stick with Akers as their kicker, CSNBayArea.com reports. Akers missed a 51-yarder in the Niners' overtime loss to the Rams this past week, missed a 41-yarder during overtime in their tie with the Rams on November 11, and is now 7-for-16 in kicks of 40 yards or more. The team brought in Billy Cundiff and Nate Kaeding last week for a tryout, but nothing came to fruition after those meetings. Despite his struggles, Akers remains a viable starter in fantasy leagues in Week 14 when the 49ers face the Dolphins.


David Akers - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Akers was 2-for-3 in field goal attempts and converted one extra point during the 49ers' overtime loss to the Rams on Sunday. The one miss was the most important kick of the day as Akers failed to convert on a 51-yard attempt that would have won the game in overtime. Though bothered by a pelvis injury throughout the week, Akers still managed to play today and was successful on attempts from 23 and 33 yards out. However, his miss today puts him at 7-for-15 on attempts longer than 40 yards and the team might not tolerate much more. They auditioned Billy Cundiff and Nate Kaeding during the week as insurance for Akers' injury, but perhaps this loss will cause them to further their search for a possible replacement.


David Akers - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Akers (pelvis) is active for Sunday's game against St. Louis. Akers has missed three of his last eight field goal attempts over his last three games, but overall he is averaging a respectable eight points per game kicking behind the 49ers' offense.


Daniel Thomas - (Mon, Dec 3, 2012)
Thomas had five carries for yards and two receptions for 19 yards in Sunday's loss to New England. Thomas was also unable to convert a goal line carry so all in all, not a good day. What should be even more concerning to fantasy owners is that Reggie Bush more than doubled his touches after Thomas looked like he was going to be used more frequently down the stretch. This could just be part of the game plan as Miami may have been thinking that Bush's explosiveness would be useful against the Patriot's defense.


Mike Williams - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Williams had six catches on 12 targets for 93 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Broncos. A very good game for Williams, who led the Buccaneers in targets, receptions and receiving yards. It was the most yards he had recorded since Week 4 and the most targets he's gotten all season. Next up is a strong Eagles' secondary, although he could find some holes if they focus too much on teammate Vincent Jackson.


Brian Hartline - (Sun, Dec 2, 2012)
Hartline had five catches on 10 targets for 84 yards Sunday against the Patriots. A decent game against a relatively weak secondary, although Hartline failed to get into the end zone for the eighth straight game. Things were looking up for Hartline after his 253-yard performance in Week 4, but he's eclipsed 85 yards only once since then, despite maintaining a relatively decent number of targets from week to week. A breakout next week isn't likely as the Dolphins head out west to face the 49ers.


Sebastian Janikowski - (Mon, Dec 3, 2012)
Janikowski made two extra points and 1-of-2 field goal attempts in Sunday's loss to the Browns. Janikowski's missed field goal was his second of the season, but like his other misfire, it came from beyond 60 yards. Janikowski totaled 14 points in both Weeks 7 and 8, but he has not topped double figures since that point and is averaging fewer than six points per game over the last five weeks.
