Pensions & Investments reported that the $25.9 billion fund is slated to invest in New York-based Blackstone Alternative Asset Management and Chicago-based Grosvenor Capital Management, pending approval by the Texas State Board of Education. The fund is also terminating investments in Mesirow Advanced Strategies and GAM USA. The article also said if the plan is approved, BAAM and Grosvenor will split the $2.5 billion portfolio evenly. The Texas Permanent School Fund provides money for Texas public education from sources besides tax revenue. Arlene Busch 312-498-9595 (m) 202-333-1880 (w)
