Dear Council Members and Colleagues,

Today we are sending you a revised draft of the Development Council report.

Please find attached this new draft which reflects the dialogue from our last Council meeting as well as a month of additional research and consultations on ways to reorganize our development efforts. Upon reviewing options for organization, the cochairs determined that it would be best to lay out a set of principles rather than propose a new organizational model so that we do not detract from our overall message. That's what is reflected in this draft, and we believe it reflects the themes from our discussions with all of you as well.

Please review the attached draft and send us your comments and feedback by COB next Friday, November 30.

Please note that this document has not yet gone through our publications department for copyediting purposes, but will do so prior to publication. Over the next few weeks we will continue to edit this document and will incorporate your feedback as we hear from each of you. We plan to distribute a clean draft in December that reflects all of your comments and will ask for your final sign-off at that time.
