Ray Rice - (Sun, Nov 25, 2012)
Rice had 22 carries for 97 rushing yards and eight catches on nine targets for 67 receiving yards Sunday against the Chargers. Rice was responsible for the biggest play of the day, taking a short pass from Joe Flacco on fourth-and-29 in the fourth quarter, weaving through defenders and eventually getting a first down that saved the Ravens in regulation. While fantasy owners would have liked to see a touchdown from Rice, those in PPR leagues were surely celebrating his eight receptions. Up next is a Steelers' defense that held him largely in check during their Week 11 matchup.


Cam Newton - (Wed, Nov 28, 2012)
Newton (ankle) practiced fully Wednesday, the Charlotte Observer reports. This marks a rare injury concern with Newton. While he is likely to take the field Sunday at Kansas City, be sure to watch his status throughout the week to ensure he plays in Week 13.

Newton completed 18-of-28 throws for 306 passing yards and two touchdowns Monday night against the Eagles. He also carried 14 times for 52 rushing yards and two more scores. Newton looked very good Monday night and may have changed the results of some fantasy matchups. His two first quarter touchdown passes of 24 and 43-yards were later complemented by two second half sneaks. The Panthers offense was fluid and Newton completed passes to seven different receivers. He faces the Chiefs next week, so another big performance could be in store.


Larry Fitzgerald - (Mon, Nov 26, 2012)
Fitzgerald had three catches for 31 yards in the Cards' loss to the Rams on Sunday. Fitzgerald was targeted 12 times, with new quarterback Ryan Lindley missing by a mile on a majority of those throws. Fitzgerald's value will continue to be hampered until the Cards' find some consistency at quarterback, if they find any at all.

The TDs might not be elite, but if Fitz can register 1,411 yards last year with those QBs and that o-line, he's bulletproof.


Trent Richardson - (Sun, Nov 25, 2012)
Richardson (chest) had 29 carries for 85 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well as four catches on four targets for 27 receiving yards Sunday against the Steelers. While his 2.9 YPC weren't impressive, Richardson was the Browns' workhorse in Sunday's victory. The rookie running back has now rushed for at least 85 yards in four straight games and he's got a favorable matchup next week against a Raiders' defense that came into Sunday ranked 22nd against the run this year.


Frank Gore - (Wed, Nov 28, 2012)
Gore (wrist/ribs) practiced fully Wednesday, the 49ers' official site reports. Gore remains San Francisco's workhorse, racking up 176 carries and 21 catches on the season. His ailments shouldn't be too much of a concern, but Friday's injury report should clear up any doubts about his availability Sunday at St. Louis.


Frank Gore - (Sun, Nov 25, 2012)
Gore carried the ball 19 times for 83 yards and caught two passes for 18 yards and a touchdown as the 49ers beat the Saints 31-21 on Sunday. The touchdown reception was Gore's first since 2010 and he would have added a 10-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter but it was nullified by a holding penalty. Once again, Gore had a solid week and remains a fantastic option for fantasy purposes. However, owners should take notice of Colin Kaepernick's tendency to poach touchdown runs inside the ten as well as the potential for the Niners to rest their star running back once they clinch a top playoff spot.


Jeremy Maclin - (Mon, Nov 26, 2012)
Maclin caught five passes for 55 yards Monday against the Panthers. Maclin was able to make up for his goose egg last week, as he led the team in catches, receiving yards, and target (7), with DeSean Jackson (chest) missing three quarters of action. Maclin projects to be the healthiest of the Eagles' receivers heading into a matchup against Dallas, so whether its Mike Vick (concussion) or Nick Foles getting the start, he may see the most action coming his way of the Philly wideouts.

Davis did not register a single catch during the 49ers 31-21 win over the Saints on Sunday. After a strong Week 11 with Colin Kaepernick at the helm, Davis was unable to keep that momentum rolling and was completely shut down. He did actually have a catch that was nullified by a penalty, but almost nothing came his way as Kaepernick spread the ball around to everyone but him. With the way the Rams have contained opposing tight ends this season, it doesn't seem like things are going to get better for him next week.


Tony Gonzalez - (Sun, Nov 25, 2012)
Gonzalez caught five balls for 62 yards in Sunday's win over the Buccaneers. Gonzalez had a decent game, but he's only topped 50 yards receiving in two of his last six games. Gonzalez should have a big game in Week 13, as the Falcons take on the Saints. Gonzalez had his best game of the season when these two teams met earlier this season, hauling in 11 passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns.

Michael Bush - (Sun, Nov 25, 2012)
Bush had 21 carries for 60 yards with two touchdowns and caught one pass for negative one yard Sunday against the Vikings. The scores were his first since Week 3, as he ran with power in goal line and short-yardage situations Sunday. With Matt Forte (ankle) exiting the game early, Bush became the Bears' lead back dominating touches the rest of the way. Waiver wire fodder before this week, owners who held onto Bush as insurance will likely be rewarded, if Forte is to miss games for the second time this season. Check back in the coming days for a better read on Forte's upcoming injury status as the Bears head into a tough matchup against Seattle's 11th ranked run defense.


David Akers - (Wed, Nov 28, 2012)
Akers was limited at practice due to a pelvis injury, the 49ers' official site reports. With Akers hurting, the 49ers have brought in veteran kickers Billy Cundiff and Nate Kaeding, so there's obviously some concern regarding Akers' Week 13 status at this stage.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh said Wednesday that Akers has been playing hurt, ESPN's Mike Sando reports. Harbaugh didn't specify as to what exactly is ailing Akers, but this could partly help explain his recent struggles and why the Niners were looking at kickers Wednesday. Akers is 19-for-27 on field goal attempts this season.

With Akers recent struggles, the 49ers are looking at free agents Billy Cundiff and Nate Kaeding, CSNBayArea.com reports. Akers is 19-for-27 in field goal attempts this season but is just 7-for-14 on kicks of 40 yards or more. Last week he missed from 50 yards out and then had a 33-yard attempt blocked. There is no indication that the 49ers have immediate plans to change kickers, but Akers' struggles have the team thinking ahead right now.

Akers was successful on all four extra-point attempts but was just 1-for-3 on field goal attempts during Sunday's win over the Saints. Akers remains a viable fantasy kicker, but his accuracy is nowhere near where it was last season. He was successful from 27 yards out midway through the fourth quarter, but had missed from 50 yards and had a 33-yard attempt blocked. He is now 19-for-27 on field goals this season but is just 7-for-14 on attempts of 40 yards or more.


Daniel Thomas - (Sun, Nov 25, 2012)
Thomas had nine carries for 60 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well as one catch on one target for 18 receiving yards Sunday against the Seahawks. Thomas has recorded 21 carries in the last two games, a stark increase from his 11 combined in the previous two contests. While Reggie Bush continues to lead the Dolphins' backfield, Thomas seems to be making the case for more touches moving forward.


Mike Williams - (Sun, Nov 25, 2012)
Williams caught just three passes (on five targets) for 28 yards in the Bucs' 24-23 loss to the Falcons Sunday. Williams did add a bonus 28 yard pass on a trick play but overall he has slowed down after a fast start this season. Much of that is due to the increased involvement of WR Tiquan Underwood and TE Dallas Clark as the season has gone on. Williams is still certainly still worth owning in most leagues, but is more bench depth- except possibly in deep leagues- at this point as opposed to a starter.


Brian Hartline - (Sun, Nov 25, 2012)
Hartline only had two receptions for 17 yards in Sunday's 24-21 win over Seattle. Seattle boasts one of the better secondaries in the league and they were able to keep Hartline in check. Hartline could have better success in Week 13 versus the Patriots, a team that is known to let speedy wideouts run loose.


Sebastian Janikowski - (Mon, Nov 26, 2012)
Janikowski made a 55-yard field goal and an extra point in Sunday's loss to the Bengals. The 50-yarder was nice, but the Raiders' offense didn't give Janikowski many opportunities as they totaled just 218 yards on the day. Next up for Janikowski and the Raiders will be the Browns, who are just one of two teams (along with the Raiders' Week 14 opponent Denver) that has held their opponents without a 50-yard field goal attempt this season.
