Dear friends, I regret that I cannot attend tonight for health reasons. You do not want to catch my cold. (My wife's version has turned into a sinus infection.) I'm sorry I will miss your hospitality, Marguerite.


I think the agreement with Cardenio is good. They may help us raise the funds necessary to make this school a reality. But it's important that we get off to an immediate start that shows we have financial viability. That will require that board members raise money ASAP (we can't wait for Cardenio). I reaffirm my challenge grant of up to $10K by December 31st (which is 21 days away).

Subject: Notice of Board meeting and other items.

Dear Trustees,


I'm writing with a few items.


First, our board meeting is scheduled for this coming Monday, December 10th at 5:30pm. Marguerite Weber, the acting chair, will host the meeting at her home with light dinner. I will send the directions to her home in another email.


Second, the minutes from the last meeting are attached and will be posted on High Bar website later today. Thank you Kimberly for your these great minutes.


Third, Ford Rowan and I have worked on the agreement with Cardenio, which incorporates our discussion during the last board meeting. We submitted the agreement to Cardenio on Friday. Please find this agreement attached and ready for your consent via email. Marguerite, Betsey and I are meeting with Dan Rocha today and will move forward to finalize this agreement by the close of business. If you have any concerns or questions, please let me know as soon as possible.


Lastly, I will send the "draft" agenda for the board meeting with attachments tomorrow, December 6th, "almost" five days before our meeting.
