Dear Hunter,

Senior senators are showing up at events for Nevada Republicans for the same reason Koch-linked groups have already attacked me on television.

They want to defeat me.

Building a grassroots network ready to fight back can't wait until next year. It can't even wait until next month. It has to happen now.

Our FEC deadline is midnight Tuesday. That leaves us four days to reach our $40,000 goal. Can you contribute $5?

The Kochs and big-name Tea Party Republicans are playing the long game here in Nevada. I'm so high on their must-beat list they're not waiting to finish this election.

It's not a surprise, really. I won't allow them to turn Medicare into a voucher system or privatize Social Security. I continue to push them into voting on issues that matter to the middle class -- like raising the minimum wage or securing equal pay for women.

The Kochs don't like my middle class agenda. Neither does the Tea Party. And the work they're doing now is all a strategy to defeat me later on.

We're playing the long game, too. We're going to hit this $40,000 FEC goal. And we're going to build a grassroots defense not even the Kochs can crack. Contribute $5 or more to be a part of it.
