I've been asking people all day a) what the fuck is wrong with saying orient? and b) I thought Shylock was a mafia term, isn't it?
Abe Foxman is a colossal ass and no sane Jewish person on the planet would ever think your dad is an anti-Semite.
I can't express how upset Dr. Hamre is about the Post. The DoD reporter who confronted him, Craig Whitlock, is a guy we go to breakfast with, help all the time, ect. I gave Dr. Hamre a pep talk and told him there are only a few saints left in this city and you're one of them--so keep your head up. It's going to take him awhile to shake this though. I'm worried about him. I think he believes he may never have a chance to serve in government again. I'm with you on this town. It's getting more petty and less honorable by the second.
