** 90% of the Afghan Defense Budget
------------------------------------------------------------

The United States and other international partners currently finance around 90% of the budget for the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, committing an average of $4.4 billion annually since 2013. Since 2012, the number of Afghan army and police personnel has hovered around 300,000.

** 30% of Nigeria's Children
------------------------------------------------------------

Due to widespread food insecurity and malnutrition, 30% of Nigeria's children are stunted; in the country's Northwestern states, half of all children are stunted. If not addressed, food insecurity could permanently restrict the next generation of Nigerians from reaching their physical and cognitive potential.

** 3,920 Army Helicopters
------------------------------------------------------------

Alone, the U.S. Army’s 3,920 helicopter fleet would give the United States the world’s largest air force, ahead of Russia and China. There are almost as many tiltrotors and helicopters in the U.S. military as there are all other manned combat aircraft combined.

** 1.25 Million Barrels of Oil
------------------------------------------------------------

At the end of 2018, Venezuelan crude oil production stood at 1.25 million barrels per day, the same amount of production they’ve lost in the space of three years. As U.S. sanctions on Venezuela’s oil sector takes effect, its national oil company, the PDVSA, will face additional trouble paying workers, purchasing basic equipment, and carrying out maintenance on the few remaining operational upgraders and refineries.
