Golf Shop Update

Event Results
Congratulations to John Brahm, winner of the Long Beach Cup season long points race. Mr. Brahm edged out regular season points leader Ed Antonietti in the final event of the season. This year we had the top 8 point scorers play in a one day, low-net stroke play event for points where we had previously had only the top four play. Points were accumulated throughout the season for both participation in events and performance with points given for first through fourth place finishes in each event. Congratulations John Brahm!

Preliminary 2015 Members Golf Calendar
Attached please find the first draft of the golf calendar for the 2015 season. Please mark your calendars to clear space to allow you to participate in the Majors as well as the regular events.

Tee Times
After reviewing our “no tee times after Labor Day” policy, we once again ask that you call to make tee times for Friday through Sunday through the month of October. Seems most people decide to show up at the “O’Clock’s” and we get a minor pile up on the first tee! If you know you have a group please call the golf shop to secure a time and we will gladly write you in. Thanks!

Aeration of Greens, Tees and Fairways
Greens will be aerated on Monday and Tuesday of next week and fairways will be done on Wednesday and Thursday. The golf course will be closed on Monday and only 9 holes will be open for play on Tuesday. All this is weather dependent but the extended forecast looks good for the schedule to be completed on time. As in the past, we will use small tines on the aerator and top dress the greens afterward to help the healing process. Please be careful if you play on Wednesday or Thursday as the maintenance workers will be finishing up their work on the holes as you play and we ask that you take great care to not hit while they are in range.

Golf Shop Credit
Golf Shop Credit will expire at the end of October so if you are curious how much you have left please call the golf shop at 219-872-8547 and we can let you know.
