His front nine score of 28 set the WATC record for lowest ever recorded at the event. John Howson could hardly stand the wait as he looked forward to a 55th birthday and full tournament playing golf in the Senior division. </span>

<span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><span style="font-size:14px;">The Maryland State Golf Association announced that Patrick McCormick, Mark Cusic and Joseph Rice, IV have been selected represent the state of Maryland for the 2014 USGA State Team Championship. The event will be held September 30 - October 3 at French Lick Resort in French Lick, Indiana. Tom Whelan, 1st Vice President of the MSGA will be the non-playing captain. The event will be a 54 hole stroke play championship, with two of the lowest three individual scores counting for each round. Good luck team Maryland!</span>
