Members of the group gathered three times between July 2017 and July 2018 to discuss issues that they consider necessary for the successful management of the South China Sea disputes, and produced blueprints for a path forward on each. The members believe these three proposed agreements add up to a robust model for managing the South China Sea disputes, one which would be both legally and politically feasible for all parties. The working group includes a diverse set of 27 experts from claimant states and interested countries, including the United States. It is chaired by Gregory Poling, director of the Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative at CSIS. All members take part in their personal capacities, not as representatives of their home institutions. They are invited to join the group based on their subject matter expertise and willingness to reach creative compromises. http://Twitter.com/CSIS https://www.facebook.com/CSIS.org Forward to Friend (http://us11.forward-to-friend.com/forward?u=833ec271d60c6750d9c3baaac&id=f2d2455ef5&e=e55aaf27de) ============================================================ This event is made possible by general support to AMTI. ** 4bde2700-3f50-471c-8398-aaf2d39e7ea7.png (https://twitter.com/CSIS) ** a4a0cd19-112c-4480-b04d-b5fc26ca3857.png (https://facebook.com/CSIS.org) ** Forward this email to a friend (http://us11.forward-to-friend.com/forward?u=833ec271d60c6750d9c3baaac&id=f2d2455ef5&e=e55aaf27de) Copyright © 2018 Center for Strategic & International Studies, All rights reserved. 202-887-0200 | ** www.CSIS.org (http://www.CSIS.org) Center for Strategic & International Studies 1616 Rhode Island Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20036 USA ** Update preferences (https://www.csis.org/subscribe/manage/e842221dc2/Q0bCCU-l2XPZXtjoZtuRX6Po26GKOlr188l9-Uh0yk8) ** Unsubscribe hbiden@rosemontseneca.com from this list.
