It was a beautiful site to be in the woods and see the kids, feverish with Spring, as they scavenged about on the Elements Scavenger Hunt. Enjoy the photos at www.theelementsdc.blogspot.com and get ready for more February weather this week! Housekeeping issues: Please try to get the kids to the park between 4:15 and 4:25.Please let me know in advance if your child will be absent.It may be wet and cold again this week but they will have fun if they are ready for it; hand warmers, plastic bags to keep feet dry, mittens, hats. . .Also - to instill a sense of preparedness and safety - they should always have their whistle with them.If your child gets thirsty at Elements, please send along a water bottle. We are just past the half way mark and are delighted that the kids feel so relaxed and comfortable in the elements and at Elements. That being said, we will be reviewing our Elements rules again this week. They are;Never wander off alone.Never do anything that may endanger yourself or others.Respect your peers, the counselors, the other park visitors and the earth.Always check in, wear name tag and check out by handing in name tag. Thanks for helping reinforce these simple rules. Finally - as a reminder, Elements ends the week of March 14th - 18th.
