Casserole Bake a Success This past Sunday, 10th grade students and their families assembled 35 huge Italian and Mexican casseroles, which were delivered to Martha's Table and Thrive DC. Extra ingredients were also donated to the food shelters. Much appreciation goes to the Casserole Bake coordinators, the 10th grade reps, and Mr. David Connell, Director of Community Service, for spearheading this family-oriented community service opportunity. Our thanks also go to the students and their families for donating food and their culinary talents, as well as to the drivers for delivering to the shelters. The event was definitely a success. If you are a 9th grade parent, and this sounded interesting, contact Tina Sandri, US Community Service Co-clerk, tsandri@aol.com, to volunteer as a coordinator for the Casserole Bake next year.YEARLY PHYSICAL EXAMS FOR STUDENTS Make the Appointment Now! Please note the summarized procedures attached, and see the “How to Get Things Done” section of the Parents Association portal on the Website for more detailed instructions. Thank you to the myriad of parents who take on these PA volunteer jobs and your willingness to expend your own funds to run these programs. Unfortunately, very delayed reimbursements make it impossible to budget effectively, and we hope that this new procedure will allow us to allocate our PA funds more efficiently.
