MICAH Gathering

All welcome to the 2011 MICAH Gathering Thursday evening, July 21 - Sunday noon,
July 24. Casey Conference Center on Whidbey Island, WA. Come for all or part

Micah welcomes individuals and families of all ages for conversations, relaxation,
reflection, nourishment, laughter, and simply having fun.

Come and enjoy spectacular sunsets and sunrises, Puget Sound beaches, music, campfires,
and meaningful and supportive dialogues. Many former Jesuit Volunteers, friends,
and families participate in this annual Micah Gathering, supporting efforts to
make our world a more loving, just, and peaceful place.

Juliette (Dacey) Fay is a former Jesuit Volunteer, Seattle resident, and author
of her newest novel, Shelter Me:

Movie and Pizza Night, Portland, OR

March 4, "The End of Poverty"

6:30 to 9 p.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1126 S.W. Park Avenue,
Portland. An opportunity to relax with fellow participants of the Portland Church
World Service CROP Hunger Walk and to ask Ron MacKenzie, Coordinator, questions.
(The walk is on Saturday, April 9, 2011.) Donations to offset expense of event
and assistance gladly accepted. Remaining fund will go to Church World Service.

Harris Connect

Please keep submitting your contact updates to Harris Connect! The purchase of
the paper directory is entirely optional but all of your updates will help make
the launch of our online database much more successful in just a few short months!

For those of you who have struggled with our Harris Connect paper directory we wanted
to clarify why we decided to use Harris. We are aware that many formers have lost
touch with each other and would enjoy making those connections again - or perhaps
even making new JVC Northwest connections. Harris Connect is a tool that was suggested
by a Former Jesuit Volunteer to:

1) update our database for our (free!) online directory project

2) offer a paper directory to those who choose to purchase it

3) and do all of this at no cost and very little time to JVC Northwest allowing
us to put our resources where they are needed most, on the margins.
