I'm a veteran when it comes to professional politics, but I still get as excited as my first campaign when someone who is talented and inspiring runs for an office where they can make a huge difference for their state and country.

There's no feeling like working for a candidate who shares your values, has a profound sense of justice, and truly believes everyone should get a fair shot.

I recognized those qualities in President Obama when I decided to serve as his campaign manager in 2008. I also see those same qualities in Kamala. That's why I'm sending you this message -- it's campaign go-time -- time for all of us to help her win.

We need to make sure Kamala gets to the Senate to help protect and carry on President Obama's legacy of accomplishments. Today is her last FEC deadline before the primary.

If you recall, 2008 was a huge year for grassroots campaigning. It was a big reason President Obama was able to win. The potency of a strong grassroots organization that takes action simply cannot be underestimated.

And I'll never forget Kamala going door to door in the freezing cold and driving snows of Iowa to help Barack Obama win the Iowa caucuses and propel him to the White House. She gets the power of people rallying for a common cause.

Today is one of the most important days of Kamala's campaign. Can you make sure she hits her goal of $50,000 before midnight?
