Colleagues and friends- Yesterday I received an invitation to review a document from a trusted colleague source, and I made the mistake while traveling of trying to open the attached document. By doing so, my own work email was hacked by a source in Ghana. Many if not all of you may have then received a similar invitation from me to open a document, which was sent by the hacker as a virus. I am writing to apologize for making the mistake of opening the original document and subjecting all of you to the risk of being hacked, and for confusing many of you as to the nature of that outreach. I am very thankful to many of you for immediately reaching out to me to let me know that you suspected I had been hacked. Although I was traveling for most of the day I was fortunate to get assistance from Google and from our G2 partner Melissa Brown and my account has been restored and passwords changed. That said, please do not open anything from me that is an invitation to read a document. And if you tried to send me any email to my work email address on May 24th, I did not receive it. With apologies, if you would please re-send any emails meant for my work account yesterday, it would be greatly appreciated, and I will try to be immediately responsive over the course of this afternoon and evening to respond. Hard lesson learned, and I hope it did not cause any of you further complications. I look forward to being in touch and crossing paths under better circumstances soon! Thanks Chri
