Hi Hunter,

How are you? I hope everything is alright. I will come to the US this summer or by the end of the year at the latest with my wife Elisabetta and I would be very happy to meet you in Washington if you can make it.

I would love to share with you the fact that an idea I had a few months ago is finally coming true: we are organizing an event in Milan with the Consulate General, regarding the issue of violence against women. This cause matters very much to us and we decided to follow the "1is2many" campaign started by the White House to raise the public's awareness on the matter. President Obama and your father were very inspiring from this point of view and I thought that it would be a great idea to promote this initiative. I was very happy when the Consulate supported it and, after months of hard work we involved many partners, national media and radios, VIPs, sports and cultural associations, local authorities and experts, turning it into an impressive event which will finally take place in a few days, on June 3rd. We are really looking forward to it and we expect that it will have a great national impact.

The name of the event is "In Lunetta per la Libertà" and I'm attaching the information material that we realized, if you'd like to take a look at it.
I wanted to share this with you like I did with my friends, because I'm sure you will appreciate this.
If we could stop even a single act of violence through this event, then our efforts will have been successful.

I had the chance to watch the Academy Awards and I really appreciated the Vice President's speech on sexual assault. His commitment in fighting violence against women is really commendable.
The U.S. Consulate Milan is also organizing a charity event, that will bring together sport and education, to raise the public's awareness towards the prevention and repression of violence against women. It will take place on June 4, 2016 in Lodi - Italy.
