Dear Colleague - Well, its crunch time. We have reached that moment in the election cycle where races will be made successful or not by our willingness to participate in the process as best we can - in our own way - to help lead our Democratic Senate candidates to victory. Campaigns matter. And in the barrage of fundraising invitations filling your in-box every day, its sometimes tough to decide how to target your limited resources and support.

Every dollar matters - especially to our challengers - so I hope you won't mind if I put before you an opportunity to give at a modest level (or larger if you like) for our Senate candidate in Arizona, Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick (invitation attached). Ann is in a competitive race in Arizona, and she needs and deserves our support. She has been running in one of the most competitive and geographically expansive congressional districts in the country, and she knows how to win tough elections. Ann knows how to maximize every dollar in a campaign, and has proven her mettle over and over again in a tough state for Democrats. As we enter the home stretch of this election cycle, she needs our help and support so that Democrats can re-take the Senate majority and continue our important work for all Americans.

My apologies for the short notice, but I hope you can join us on September 21 - or perhaps go to Ann's websie and contribute if you cannot make the event. As our candidates give it everything they have in these final critical weeks, we need to have their backs. Ann Kirkpatrick has worked hard in the House of Representatives for the people of her district, and I have no doubt she will take that work ethic into the Senate for the benefit of all Arizonans and our nation as well.
