Hello parents of Clarkson Math students!<br />

The class is in the middle of working on their 4th Problem of the Week (POW) set so far this year. POW #4 is due next Thursday, November 15th. While some students seem to fully understand the requirements of this recurring assignment (a POW set is assigned approximately every 7-14 days), some students are having difficulty meeting expectations with their write-ups or showing their work clearly. You all should have seen POW #2, which was sent home to be signed by a parent. The POW #3 set was handed back yesterday.<br />

On Wednesday and Friday of this week during the Rehearsal and DEAR periods I am offering review sessions for our upcoming Algebra test (on Tuesday 11/13). On Wednesday of <span style="text-decoration: underline;">next week</span> I will hold a POW review session. Students will be able to bring their POW #4 set (since it is due Thursday, I would expect it to be mostly complete by Wednesday) and I will go over whether the work shows is clear and thorough enough and will help students compose/edit/update their write-ups to ensure they also meet requirements. If any student is unable to attend on Wednesday, I will also be available during break on Monday and Wednesday of next week. I am announcing these POW review sessions to the class tomorrow.<br />
