We still have lots of open questions regarding our travel from here on out but wanted to get everyone a comprehensive look at our current state of affairs.

Saturday 10/27

Virginia Beach has been cancelled

The Bidens (VP, Dr. Biden, Beau) will travel from DC to Lynchburg for their previously scheduled remarks at the City Armory, potentially the Inside Edition interview that was scheduled for Virginia Beach, and return to Wilmington via JBA.

Sunday 10/28

The Vice President will need to depart for his week’s travel on Sunday in order to avoid the danger of being stuck in Delaware.

The Air Force will be sending the C-32 from Andrews to Wilmington at 12:00pm and will be ready for departure from Wilmington by 2:00pm. It is the recommendation of Air Ops/CVAM that we depart as early as 2:00pm. Since Wilmington is closer to the coast than DC it is likely that the weather will deteriorate faster there than in DC. We can monitor the forecast over the next 24-36 hours and hopefully push that departure time back to 4:00 or 6:00pm but at this time we should be prepared to depart from Wilmington as early as 2:00pm.

But where are we going, you ask? The current plan as recommended by the campaign is for the VP to campaign in New Hampshire on Monday. The concerns of OVP senior (commissioned) staff about campaigning in NH on Monday have been relayed to OFA and are being taken into consideration. We are waiting for their feedback (they are currently dealing with rearranging principal travel for this weekend so we hope to hear back from them on Monday soon). If we keep New Hampshire we would fly to Manchester on Sunday. Depending on how early we arrive we could explore adding an OTR in the Manchester area. We would RON in Manchester. If we pull down New Hampshire we will travel Sunday afternoon to wherever they want us to go.

Monday 10/29

If we keep New Hampshire then we wake up in Manchester, likely add some radio time or an OTR in the morning and then proceed with our previously scheduled stops (OTR in Dublin, remarks in Keene, OTR in Milford) and depart to Columbus in the evening.

Tuesday 10/30

This seems to the most solid day of the week at the moment. Regardless of how Monday plays out we will likely end up in Columbus Monday night. We will do the TIME magazine shoot Tuesday morning at the hotel and then proceed to Kenyon (remarks), Wooster (remarks) and Mansfield (OTR) before flying to Sarasota.

Wednesday 10/31

Wake up in Sarasota. Possibly do the Letterman Top 10 filming at the hotel before departing for remarks and an OTR in Sarasota. We would then as of now, fly to Ocala for remarks. Sheila is re-raising with OFA leadership the merits vs drawbacks of Ocala and Scranton on this day/evening. I don’t expect we’ll have a ruling on that until the weekend/Monday situation has been resolved so stay tuned.

Thursday 11/1

The campaign would like us in Scranton (dependent on decision referenced above), Muscatine and Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Friday 11/2

The campaign would like us in Superior and Beloit, Wisconsin

Saturday 11/3

The campaign would like us in Pueblo and Adams County, CO as well as Reno – this may not be feasible, we will report back to folks once we have previous issues sorted out


Sunday 11/4:

3-4 stops TBD in Ohio (including at least one with Bon Jovi)

Sunday 11/5:

Louden County and Blacksburg, VA with Dr. Biden
