Over the last six years, we've worked together to move Maryland forward. Today, our businesses are creating jobs again, college is more affordable, and Maryland is one of only eight states that still has a Triple A bond rating.
We need our partners at the federal level to do their part to protect and strengthen middle class families.

Right now, President Obama and Speaker Boehner are trying to reach a deal to avert the fiscal cliff. President Obama is trying to work with Republicans, but Republicans haven't been willing to ask the wealthiest Americans to pay a little bit more.

Putting middle class families in jeopardy in order to protect the wealthiest Americans isn't the right direction for America. Join Lt. Governor Brown and me as we stand with President Obama in calling on Republicans to help us protect middle class families by ensuring they're not hit with a $2,000 tax increase.

A lot of things in this debate are complex, but one piece is easy: we all want to keep taxes low on 98% of American families.
