I trust things have calmed down since the election. Maybe I'll see you this
evening at the Middle School concert - not sure if Finnegan is performing.
Jordan is playing guitar, so I'll be there for at least the first half, as I
may have to run out to another reception after.


As you recall, you at one point kicked around with your partners trying to
connect me with a hospital system in Michigan. It turns out that the same
reimbursement consultants we were working with then have approached me with
some new opportunities that could total several hundred million dollars and
possibly exceed $1billion. I'm coming to you first on this to see if you
have any interest in learning more and possibly getting involved.


One of the largest potential opportunities involves Cedars-Sinai in LA and
if handled correctly would likely have a ripple effect on many of the
hospitals in the area near them. I'm still gathering up details, but the
consultants believe that the conduit to getting this done might be to
connect with Rep. Henry Waxman to convey that their approach could bring
several hundred million dollars to hospitals in his district. The hope being
that Waxman or one of his staffers might facilitate a meeting with Cedars.
I'm not sure that's the only strategy, and maybe you would have other
thoughts regarding ways to get Cedars to engage. The ultimate objective is
to get Cedars on board as they are the key to getting the other hospitals to
follow, and we need someone with the right influence to facilitate a
meeting, and possibly help prod them along. The consultants will take
responsibility for securing the contract and doing all the work once the
right introductions are made and the initial meetings facilitated.


Apart from the So. Cal deal, there are numerous other issues these guys are
working on. For example, there's also apparently a $15 mm deal involving a
couple of Delaware hospitals that might be in your wheelhouse. And the list
goes on involving hospitals all over the country.


Please let me know if you are open to a discussion about these
opportunities. With the holidays coming, we can shoot to do something after
New Year's or if you have time, I can set up a call with the consultants for
sometime next week. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes.
