Dear Parents and Guardians,

The Upper School is looking for DC-area organizations willing to sponsor an unpaid internship for current Sidwell Friends School 12th graders in May or rising 12th graders over the summer. The Sidwell Friends School community has been an excellent and generous source of internships in the past, and we are grateful for the support you have provided our students outside of the classroom.

Many current 12th graders pursue an internship opportunity for their Senior Projects during the four-week-long period from Monday, May 6 – Friday, May 31. During the Senior Project period, students are available for six hours each day, totaling 30 hours per week.

Sidwell Friends 11th graders are looking for summer internship opportunities through the Anindya Dehejia ‘78 Internship Program, which provides students with a stipend to participate in an internship of any length over the summer. We hope you will think about supporting a Sidwell Friends School intern. Even though there is no guarantee that each organization will receive an intern, these partnerships are immensely beneficial for Sidwell Friends School students.
