This will be our first conference in the Lone Star State. We hope that you will join us in this historic city for 2 days of great policy discussion and fantastic social events. Links: 2. http://www.democraticags.org/events.php Please join Attorneys General Janet Mills (ME), Chris Koster (MO), Roy Cooper (NC) and many other attorneys general along with several candidates for attorney general and us many as 150 of our members and guests. Last year, we hosted 16 Attorneys General and over 200 members and guests at the Fall Policy Conference in Annapolis, Maryland. We expect another great turn out of AGs, candidates for attorney general, and members this year. The conference will be held at the historic Driskill Hotel at 406 Brazos Street in Austin. We have negotiated a rate of $209 per night plus tax and associated fees. _The room block will close on August 23. We cannot guarantee availability or rates after August 23. _ You can make your reservations by clicking here and using online booking code 2085VL or you can call 800-252-9367 and ask for the DAGA room block. You will be required to hold the reservation with the credit card at the time you make your reservation. The Driskill has a 72 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within 72 hours of the date of your arrival, you will be charged one night’s stay. As always, you are responsible for making your reservation and for hotel costs. In the event you need to cancel, we will do our best to resell your room, but if we cannot, you will be responsible for the hotel’s cancellation fee of one night’s charge, including tax and fees. DAGA will manage all portions of the conference. We have included an agenda in formation to help you plan. We have a fantastic dinner at the LBJ Presidential Library planned on Monday night. The library is featuring a special Walter Cronkite exhibit, which you will have the opportunity to tour during the cocktail reception. On Tuesday night, we will host our Roundtable Members for a dinner in one of Austin’s fine restaurants. Panel topics will include: Architecture of a Successful Political Message The Health Care Reform Act and the Role of the Attorney General The Credit Card Business "Reformed" - What it Means for Issuers and Consumers America’s Energy Future Election 2010: A State by State Overview Dress for the 2010 DAGA Fall Policy Conference is business to resort casual during the sessions and business for the dinners.
