Today’s Schedule


This afternoon, the President will host a Town Hall in the East Room of the White House as part of his Forum with Young African Leaders. The event will bring 115 young leaders from civil society and the private sector from more than 40 countries across Africa to Washington to meet with their American counterparts and U.S government officials. At the Town Hall, the President will discuss with them their vision for Africa for the next 50 years and the partnerships we can foster between our countries.


9:30 AM: The President receives the Presidential Daily Briefing


10:00 AM: The President receives the Economic Daily Briefing


11:00 AM: The President signs the Fair Sentencing Act
