We want to make you aware of an incident that was brought to our attention today. Last night, a resident’s car was broken into inside the parking garage. The individual that broke into the car entered the building through the rear door that leads to the back alley close to Rhode Island Ave. They were able to enter because the door was not secured when a resident or resident’s guest left through that door a few hours earlier.
It also looks like a bike was removed from the garage by the same individual. If you have a bike stored in the garage please check to make sure it is in place. If your bike is missing, please contact the police and let us know too. If you have a bike in the bike room, please lock the door when you leave the bike room. The door does not automatically lock when it is closed.
We have checked and all doors to the building are functioning properly. Please make sure not to prop any doors open and let us know if you notice any doors that are not working properly.
