Spain is at the fore of high speed rail development and as the United States
looks to build out its own high speed rail network, we stand ready to
provide our technological know-how to the benefit of American job creation
and the development of an efficient high speed rail system. We see this
engagement as a step in that direction and as an excellent opportunity to
build upon the solid foundation and mutually beneficial relationship shared
between businesses in our two countries. As an industry leader, CAF is
uniquely positioned to offer its services at a rate that reflects current
economic realities. It is therefore my firm belief that CAF’s bid is not
only competitive, but also the best value presented to Amtrak for the scope
of work outlined in the contract.
