Any thought to having the event at the Grand benefit the Beau Biden Foundation? I know that it can’t benefit the Biden Foundation because that may be a conflict…but there would be no conflict if it benefitted BBF. Just a thought. Have a great day! Best- Patty Patricia Dailey Lewis, Esquire Executive Director Beau Biden Foundation for the Protection of Children www.beaubidenfoundation.org <http://www.beaubidenfoundation.org/> patty@beaubidenfoundation.org <mailto:patty@beaubidennfoundation.org> “We have seen the progress that can be made when society commits to shining a bright light on a crime like domestic violence, and we are seeing the beginning of what can be accomplished if we continue shining that bright light on child abuse. As adults, we have a legal and moral obligation to stand up and speak out for children who are being abused. These children cannot speak for themselves.” —Beau Biden > Begin forwarded message: > > From: Kate Childs <kate.childs@caa.com> > Subject: VP Book + Beau Biden Foundation > Date: August 16, 2017 at 11:50:21 AM EDT > To: "josh@beaubidenfoundation.org" <josh@beaubidenfoundation.org>, "patty@beaubidenfoundation.org" <patty@beaubidenfoundation.org> > Cc: Cathy Mclaughlin <cathymcl@udel.edu>, Kate Bedingfield <kjbedingfield@gmail.com>, Valerie Owens <hurricane5155@gmail.com>, "zwonmark@gmail.com" <zwonmark@gmail.com> > > Hi Josh – > > Valerie passed along your note, and I wanted to follow-up with information about the Vice President’s book tour. > > Rob Martinelli can reach out to Marlena Bittner at Flatiron Books regarding an excerpt: marlena.bittner@flatironbooks.com <mailto:marlena.bittner@flatironbooks.com>. > > Right now, there’s interest from Wilmington’s Grand Opera House to host an event in January 2018, and there will be an event at the University of Delaware on Thursday, November 16. The on-campus event will be able to accommodate about 200 public tickets (the rest are for students), and Kathy McLaughlin will be in touch before it goes on sale to give BBF donors and supporters a chance to purchase tickets during presale. > > Please let me know if there’s any other information I can provide— > > Best, > Kate > > -- > Kate Childs / Creative Artists Agency > 405 Lexington Avenue, 21st Floor, NY, NY 10174 > Phone: 212-277-9000 > Kate.Childs@CAA.com <mailto:Kate.Childs@CAA.com> > > Begin forwarded message: > >> From: Joshua Alcorn >> Date: August 10, 2017 at 4:16:21 PM EDT >> To: Valerie Biden Owens <hurricane5155@gmail.com <mailto:hurricane5155@gmail.com>> >> Cc: Patty Dailey Lewis <patty@beaubidenfoundation.org <mailto:patty@beaubidenfoundation.org>> >> Subject: VP's book >> >> Hi Valerie - >> I ran in to Rob Martinelli, the published of Delaware Today and Main Line Today. We started talking about the golf outing, but he asked me about the VP’s book, and wondered if Delaware Today could publish an excerpt or do a spread about the book or something along those lines. Obviously outside of our lane here at the BBF, so I thought to ask you. Happy to connect you with Rob or send him directly to the folks at CAA - whatever you think is best. >> Relatedly, we’ve heard from a number of folks about the book tour, and they’ve asked about a potential Delaware event for the book. The announced tour doesn’t include a DE stop, and as folks are thinking about buying tickets to Philly or NY or DC, they’ve asked if there will be a special DE event added later. Do you know of any plans to add such an event? Obviously, Patty and I will help in any way that we can, should this be added. >> Thanks! >> /ja >> >> Joshua Alcorn >> 302/295.8340 (office) >> 302/598.1885 (cell) >> josh@beaubidenfoundation.org <mailto:josh@beaubidenfoundation.org> >> > > This e-mail and any files transmitted with it are intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
