Hi Hunter – I just wanted to send a short note to follow up on Sean’s e-mail from yesterday. Did you get a chance to read it? We’re trying to raise $20,000 in the New Governor Fund by Thursday at midnight. Can you pitch in $25, $50, or more to help? https://services.myngp.com/ngponlineservices/contribution.aspx?X=Ya3OyZ7ATE9lOCqi0tAa88rKUFCkam5w&a=25 As Sean said, we’re about a year from closing the books on Tom Corbett. Speaking as someone who is battling Governor Corbett day in and day out - especially when it comes to protecting union members and collective bargaining - we can’t afford to let him get re-elected. It will mean the end of the union movement as we know it in Pennsylvania. It’s happened in other states, and the Koch Brothers are trying to make it happen here. I need you to get involved in this. Thanks so much for your help. – Rob https://services.myngp.com/ngponlineservices/contribution.aspx?X=Ya3OyZ7ATE9lOCqi0tAa88rKUFCkam5w&a=25 On Tue, Jan 21, 2014 at 4:01 PM, Sean Gavin wrote: Dear Hunter, About one year from today, someone will stand outside the state capitol and be sworn in as governor. Could that person be Tom Corbett? A lot of people are counting him out, but that would be a mistake. We counted him out before, and he won. And this year he'll have millions in Koch Brothers money behind him. Why? Because one of the first things Tom Corbett will do if he's re-elected is champion the Koch Brothers' efforts to break our unions by ending collective bargaining. If you believe in the principle of collective bargaining and the need for working people to have a seat at the table, I need you to pitch in $25, $50, or more right now. https://services.myngp.com/ngponlineservices/contribution.aspx?X=Ya3OyZ7ATE9lOCqi0tAa88rKUFCkam5w&a=25 The Koch Brothers dismantled collective bargaining in Wisconsin. They tried in Ohio. They tried in Michigan. And now Pennsylvania is next. The only way we can stop it is if, one year from now, we inaugurate a governor who believes that working men and women deserve a seat at the table too. Rob McCord is that governor. https://services.myngp.com/ngponlineservices/contribution.aspx?X=Ya3OyZ7ATE8YYTN4fsiiPelW5IHZw8vD&a=25 We've set up a New Governor Fund to raise $20,000 this week so that, next year, we can be sure we're not swearing in Tom Corbett for a second term. Will you kick in $25, $50 or more to our effort? The deadline is Thursday at 11:59 pm. With your help, I know we can do it! https://services.myngp.com/ngponlineservices/contribution.aspx?X=Ya3OyZ7ATE9lOCqi0tAa88rKUFCkam5w&a=25 Thank you, Sean Gavin Political Director https://services.myngp.com/ngponlineservices/contribution.aspx?X=Ya3OyZ7ATE9lOCqi0tAa88rKUFCkam5w&a=25 Paid for by McCord for Governor McCord for Governor, LLC 24 N.
