Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight blog has a model of who will win the Senate this year -- and according to his model, it's "pretty darned close."

A month or so ago, Nate Silver thought Democrats were in big trouble. Now, we're "pretty darned close." All of our grassroots efforts to fight the Kochs and obstructionists are working -- we have to keep at it.

This election is coming down to the wire. There are no two ways around it: we either reach our $40,000 FEC goal in the next 10 days to keep fighting, or we give up and hand the Senate over to the Koch brothers and the Republicans.

Hunter -- there's no way to be sure what would happen if the Republicans take the Senate. But we have a pretty good idea.

They could end Medicare as we know it. They would refuse to take action on equal pay, or raising the minimum wage, or reversing the effects of Citizens United.

It's a nightmare scenario where the Koch brothers get whatever they want, while the middle class gets nothing. I'm not willing to let that happen.
