By Emily Schultheis ( mailto:eschultheis@politico.com eschultheis@politico.com ; Twitter: @emilyrs) ALL EYES ON CHRISTIE: Today is New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's second inauguration, and he remains the focus of unrelenting attention. It was a tough weekend for the Republican: just as he hit the road to fundraise in Florida, he was smacked by a barrage of stories about yet another bombshell accusation. This time, Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer accused him of withholding Hurricane Sandy funds for political reasons ( http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb669566a0787aba31a6f3f3198d0e40223cb2d1cf36340c4ebea6 http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb669566a0787aba31a6f3f3198d0e40223cb2d1cf36340c4ebea6 ). We're into week three of non-stop Christie coverage, so it's clear this isn't going away any time soon. How Christie handles himself-and what new information comes to light-are the biggest questions Score is paying attention to this week. WHAT HE'LL SAY TODAY-Excerpts from Christie's speech: "We will fight to continue to change government so that we value our differences and honor the strength of our diversity. We cannot fall victim to the attitude of Washington, DC. The attitude that says I am always right and you are always wrong. The attitude that puts everyone into a box they are not permitted to leave. The attitude that puts political wins ahead of policy agreements. The belief that compromise is a dirty word. As we saw in December regarding the DREAM Act, we can put the future of our state ahead of the partisans who would rather demonize than compromise. As your Governor, I will always be willing to listen, as long as that listening ends in decisive action for the people counting on us." More on Christie-State Sen. Barbara Buono, Christie's Democratic opponent last fall, cut an ad that never aired calling Christie a "bully": http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb66951a618cf915b0933ff534bfbd989ba04bed00b689ed1bccb0 http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb66951a618cf915b0933ff534bfbd989ba04bed00b689ed1bccb0 And-what the voters think: 58 percent of U.S. adults don't believe Christie when he says he had no knowledge of what was happening, per a USA Today/Pew Research poll taken last week. http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb6695fff3f93a87ca2322f0fa6edcc0b107294082377c2030c5d6 http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb6695fff3f93a87ca2322f0fa6edcc0b107294082377c2030c5d6 FIRST LOOK-DCCC AD PLAYS UP JOLLY'S LOBBYING PAST: The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's first ad against GOP candidate David Jolly, which hits the airwaves today, goes after the Republican on his past lobbying work-an issue that's already become a potent one in Florida's 13th district special election. "David Jolly's proud to be a lobbyist," the ad says, showing a clip of Jolly saying he's "proud of the work I've done." "Is Jolly proud of lobbying for special interests that received over three million in taxpayer-funded earmarks? Or the firm lobbying for hundreds of millions for a dictator - in Pakistan?" The DCCC dropped $200,000 on the buy, and the ad will run through next Monday in the St. Petersburg area. EMILY's List, the pro-Democratic women's group that endorsed Democratic candidate Alex Sink, has also begun investing in the race, and the NRCC has already bought around $100,000 in airtime. Watch: http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb6695f723c8c53a1350cf519a8c282a04563e1ed39c55c38ff780 http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb6695f723c8c53a1350cf519a8c282a04563e1ed39c55c38ff780 MORE-State Rep. Kathleen Peters, who lost to Jolly in last week's primary, endorsed him over the weekend: http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb6695ade25d9812767160d35809541d30c7965790866de0b02a58 http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb6695ade25d9812767160d35809541d30c7965790866de0b02a58 SCORE PREVIEW-HAGAN RAISES $2 MILLION: North Carolina Sen. Kay Hagan, one of four Democratic incumbents in red states who top national Republicans' target lists for this year, raised more than $2 million in the fourth quarter of 2013, her campaign told Score. That brings her cash-on-hand total to $6.8 million, from more than 15,000 individual donors. Hagan's haul tops that of two fellow red-state Democrats, Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu and Arkansas Sen. Mark Pryor: they raised $1.4 million and $1.1 million, respectively. With the outside ad money already coming in heavily against Hagan, she'll need fundraising numbers like this to combat the attacks on the airwaves going forward. As Wendy Davis works to get her story straight, Tom Coburn's replacements start lining up and Jim Messina gives Charlie Crist a helping hand, here's POLITICO's Morning Score: your (now-daily!) guide to the 2014 midterms. Good Tuesday morning and welcome to Morning Score. Starting today, Score will hit inboxes five days a week, Monday through Friday. As always, send your tips, thoughts, and suggestions to mailto:eschultheis@politico.com eschultheis@politico.com or tweet them to @emilyrs-and let me know what else you'd like to see in Score going forward. There are just 287 days until Election Day 2014-let the fun begin! FIVE QUESTIONS FOR THE WEEK AHEAD- 1) Will Christie address the bridge allegations during his inauguration today? 2) Who else gets into the race to replace Tom Coburn? 3) Will there be any surprises in the last round of fourth-quarter FEC reports? 4) Do any big decisions come out of the RNC's meeting in D.C. this week? 5) Will the recent barrage of House retirements slow down this week? EXCLUSIVE-AFF RE-UPS ATTACKS ON PETERSON: The American Future Fund, which has already dropped $100,000 in TV ads against Democratic Rep. Collin Peterson in Minnesota, is going up with a complementary $25,000 radio buy this week. The ad calls on Peterson to support the No Obamacare Subsidies for Congress Act. "While we've been adjusting to the times, Collin Peterson's been adjusting to Washington perks. ...Take Obamacare," the ad says. "Sure, Congress has to shop in the exchanges, but they have their own website that actually works and their exchanges have tons of gold-plan insurance options." The ad will run district-wide for two weeks. Peterson is a top Republican House target for this year, and his district is likely to see no shortage of outside ad money. Mike Honda in California's 17th district, raised $402,000 in the fourth quarter of 2013, his campaign will announce later this morning. That brings his cash-on-hand total to $3.2 million. Honda hasn't reported his totals yet-but because Khanna has outraised him in the previous two quarters ( http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb6695825dbd9199d7e2792841130ebfb56620cbccdaa6874851f5 http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb6695825dbd9199d7e2792841130ebfb56620cbccdaa6874851f5 ), Honda's fourth-quarter haul will be worth keeping an eye on. The Honda-Khanna race is perhaps the most contested-and the most expensive-Democratic House primary in the country. COMING SOON TO THE SOONER STATE-LANKFORD IN FOR COBURN SEAT: The race to replace retiring Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn officially began Monday, when Rep. James Lankford announced he was entering the race. As he made his candidacy official, though, Lankford was immediately panned by conservative groups: the Senate Conservatives Fund released a statement Monday afternoon saying it wouldn't support him, and the Club for Growth suggested last week that if Lankford entered the race he would have a tough time getting their support ( http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb6695500b66661002b92013ba3798f07db93a7c6eff80d4ce4aa3 http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb6695500b66661002b92013ba3798f07db93a7c6eff80d4ce4aa3 ). (SCF has said it would like to see Rep. Jim Bridenstine, Lankford's fellow House member, run for the seat.) So far, Lankford is the only entrant into what could be a crowded GOP primary: fellow Rep. Tom Cole and state Attorney General Scott Pruitt said this weekend that they won't run, but a handful of other statewide pols and U.S. House members will likely look at the race. The primary will be held June 24. http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb66955ac8d74663409c3e917ec081d009222752a93eac1d2f7d55 http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb66955ac8d74663409c3e917ec081d009222752a93eac1d2f7d55 2016 TALKER-Larry Sabato writes in his POLITICO Magazine Column: "[W]hen no incumbent was running, the only precedent for a consensus choice in the entire post-World War II era is Richard Nixon in 1960. ... The larger lesson from 1960 is that even a rare consensus nomination does not come easily. Odds are also great that, as with Nixon, [Hillary] Clinton's scars from the political wars would prevent an unimpeded coronation and produce a difficult fall campaign. Despite enthusiasm over the possible election of the first woman president and appreciation for her long record of service, many progressive Democrats will focus yet again on her vote to authorize the Iraq war and, in a party that has unmistakably moved leftward in the last decade, the ties to her husband's more moderate philosophy, at least as it was articulated in the 1990s." http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb6695d1502afc8b43f8cf73f037d5abd2d52320755093ddf60c73 http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb6695d1502afc8b43f8cf73f037d5abd2d52320755093ddf60c73 OBAMA AIDE AIDS CRIST: Charlie Crist, the Republican-turned-Democrat former governor of Florida who's seeking another shot at his old job, is getting some big-name help: Jim Messina will serve as a senior strategic adviser, per Maggie Haberman. He won't be involved in the day-to-day operations of the campaign, but will instead offer big-picture guidance. (Crist's Democratic primary opponent, former state Sen. Nan Rich, just hired an OFA alum of her own: Jackie de Carvalho, the Obama campaign's deputy state coordinator for Florida, will run Rich's field program.) http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb66951d5dfb1252b2619d5e4c725dccabd733060f9bd582b378d6 http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb66951d5dfb1252b2619d5e4c725dccabd733060f9bd582b378d6 ACROSS THE MAP-Here are Score's top quick takes from races around the country: SENATE- -First look: NRSC political director Ward Baker and senior political adviser Kevin McLaughlin talk about the committee's recent progress and the state of the race for the Senate in a new podcast: http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb6695598f9155ed41cb05824b6b361d2f50c2ccaa7ea2b62c5723 http://go.politicoemail.com/?qs=21993cd0cbfb6695598f9155ed41cb05824b6b361d2f50c2ccaa7ea2b62c5723 -HI-Sen: Incumbent Sen.
