Club Pink -


1) Our game this Sunday is at 2:00 at Holy Child against Check it Out.
Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can get a proper warm up.


2) If you are new and were not at practice Wednesday to receive a
uniform, please find me when you arrive on Sunday and I will bring what
uniforms I have left. However, also make sure that every player brings their
pinny in case we need to play as pink not white. Our skorts are dark blue
and so if you do not have a uniform, please wear dark blue shorts if
possible.


3) As many of you noticed, our goalie, Caity, was not at our last 2
practices. She and her dad have never once given any indication that she
could not commit and attend our practices and games. In fact, one week ago
today her dad sent me this email "I think we have gotten all the kinks
worked out of the tutor, Yoga, trainer other practices.. schedule so she
will be able to be there from here out. I look forward to meeting you on
Sunday."

So when she did not show up on Sunday I started emailing and calling him
right away. I did not get a response until he responded by phone just now.
He now says that Caity has chosen to play for Next Level in the new WALL
league in Germantown (which finally released its schedule on Monday). She
had played for Next Level two years ago and has at least one friend there.
He also said that Next Level games perfectly coincide with our CP games, and
so playing both will not work. This is obviously very disappointing. But we
must move forward.


And so I ask if anyone has a line on any goalies that might wish to join our
team, please let me know ASAP. Alternatively, we will need two of our
players to step up and play at least a half of each game until we find a
replacement. I know some of our kids have stepped in the goal before very
effectively for our team.


4) I am working with a select team coach from McLean who wants to
scrimmage us one weekend this season. I will let you know when we have
circled in on some dates/times.


Please let me know about any possible goalie prospects ASAP. We coaches
(Jackie, Mark and I) are looking forward to Sunday.
