Dear Mr. and Mrs. Biden,

I feel blessed to share the good work of Catholic Charities with you, my
friend. Over the last 120 days the Catholic Church has experienced many ups and
downs and it is important for me to reach out to you to address your feelings
and concerns. As we face this crisis throughout our Church, I remain steadfast
in my commitment to support those in our community as the needs remain.

Catholic Charities continues to serve as the largest private human service
provider in the Washington area with an almost ninety-year history of providing
support to those in our community. Our agency lives out the mission of the
Church in our daily actions and through the lives of our clients.

We are beginning to implement a strategic planning study to help determine
the steps needed to help fulfill our vision for the future. Your thoughts and
ideas are critical to this effort. Your insight and guidance will help us to
determine the strategic steps necessary to achieve these goals, leading to
transformational and lasting change for partner families and their communities.

As we work to plan for our future, I invite you to provide your input so we
