Hunter: My wife is on the Board of Imagination Stage and we were hoping that you and your wife could join us for this amazing benefit as our guests. IMAGINATION STAGE Imagination Stage (IStage) is the largest and most respected theatre arts organization for young people in the Mid-Atlantic region. Located in Bethesda, MD, IStage offers professional shows (adult actors performing for children and families), classes/summer camps for ages 1-18, and free outreach programs for underserved communities. IStage’s programs reach over 100,000 children and families each year. Imagination Stage Gala - Saturday October 22, 6:30 PM Silent Auction and Cocktails, 7:30 PM Show ACCESS/INCLUSION PROGRAMS IStage is committed to nurturing the creativity of children of all abilities as they develop and realize their full potential through the arts. IStage serves children with disabilities in inclusive performing arts settings alongside typically developing peers. The Arts Access classes and student ensembles are designed specifically for the needs of children with cognitive or developmental disabilities. THE GALA Each year, IStage holds a Gala and Silent Auction to benefit its theatre and arts education programs. Ticket sales and tuition fees only cover 50% of the organization’s expenses. IStage must raise over $2million each year to bridge the gap. This year’s Gala will be held on Saturday, October 22 at Imagination Stage’s facility. Over 400 guests will attend, including members of Congress, local politicians, national and local business leaders. The evening will feature an original performance by Imagination Stage students and professional company, a unique silent auction and a celebratory buffet reception. The fundraising goal is $275,000 in sponsorships/ticket sales. The proceeds raised through this event will go directly towards helping IStage continue its core mission to produce theatre and arts education programs which nurture, challenge and empower young people of all abilities. ________________________ Brian R.
