Important note from Four Seasons Hotel Washington DC


Dear Members,

This week Washington, DC is hosting the 2016 Nuclear Security Summit from
Wednesday, March 30 through Saturday, April 2. Officials and dignitaries
from more than 50 countries will be participating in this summit, with the
main meetings taking place at the Washington Convention Center. This area
and the streets surrounding will be cordoned off to all but official
visitors. During this time security will of course be at a high level
throughout the city with planned road closures, parking restrictions and
METRO Rail station closures. Unscheduled and temporary road or venue
closures may also take place.
In addition, Four Seasons will be hosting a number of these official
delegations during this time period and as such, security will also be
heightened here with an increased police presence both inside and outside
of our hotel. Most significantly you will see that all vehicles entering
the hotel garage will be examined by local law enforcement before being
parked (with the car owner present) and there will also be a security
checkpoint in the lobby that will be staffed by US Secret Service 24 hours
a day with airport style security protocols in place. The main lobby
entrance will be the only entrance that is open to enter the hotel,
Fitness Club, George’s salon and Bourbon Steak restaurant.
Four Seasons staff will be working side by side with these officials to
ensure that your safety and protection remain our primary concern,
accomplished with uncompromised Four Seasons service.
