Sen. Bernie Sanders won Idaho's Democratic caucuses on Tuesday night, according to The Associated Press, handing him a much-needed win in a state he's made part of his Western comeback plan.

Sanders has typically run well in caucus states with predominantly white electorates. But neither the Sanders nor the Clinton campaign devoted much spending toward the state. Sanders spent less than $100,000 on ads in the run-up to the caucuses.

Idaho has 27 delegates, which it awards on a proportional basis.
