Dear Members of the Board,
This week the world marked a grim milestone as the Syria conflict entered its 6th year.

To bring attention to this suffering and to highlight WFP’s role as a lifeline in Syria, our teams executed a multi-channel, integrated challenge grant appeal last week that took place via email, our website, blog and social media properties. We also produced and distributed a wide range of new content, including a new video and several podcast episodes featuring Hunter and a refugee family he met on the trip to Jordan, and op-eds from Allan and Rick about the challenges facing the humanitarian system amid so many protracted crises.

In a little more than one week's time, the challenge grant appeal has raised nearly $100,000 in revenue -- half designated specifically for Syria operations, and the majority originating from online donors.

On an exciting note, Kate Hudson posted a teaser clip on her Instagram account<https://www.instagram.com/p/BC_M28OJctX/?taken-by=katehudson> of the video featuring Hunter and the Syrian family, receiving more than 200,000 views and 15,000 likes.
