Dear colleagues, The worst flooding in more than 100 years has claimed the lives of people in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, forced more than 24,000 people (latest Serbia number only) to evacuate and left thousands more stranded as flood waters cut off entire towns. The record flooding which was brought on by Cyclone Tamara starting on May 13, covers northern Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire territory of Serbia, where waters continue to rise rapidly. Severe damage has occurred to power systems, drainage, water supply and sewage treatment systems, roads, bridges, and railroads. Significant agricultural and forest areas are also under water, and recently planted crops destroyed. They are in immediate need of food, medicines, water, drying machines, portable water pumps, boats, sleeping bags, rubber boots and of course financial aid for reconstruction. Please help if you can and if you participate in foundations or charity organizations please spread the word. Trusted contacts for offering help are: Government of Serbia instructions: http://www.washington.mfa.gov.rs/index.php Red Cross International Orthodox Christian Charities: http://www.iocc.org/news/5-16-14balkans-flooding.aspx With respect and gratitude, Marija [cid:image001.jpg@01CF72A6.F78F6060]Marija Zivanovic-Smith Vice President, Global Government Programs NCR Corporation phone: 202.507.6234 | cell: 703.314.0902 marija.zivanovic-smith@ncr.com<mailto:marija.zivanovic-smith@ncr.com> | www.ncr.com<http://www.ncr.com/>
