Cloud apps like Dropbox and Evernote are already popular, and make prime targets for infecting a huge system or a lot of people at once. Disney and Your Privacy

recently announced plans to take park guests' experience to the next level with the MyMagic+ system, a combination of website, app, and interactive bracelet to customize your experience at a Disney park.


How it Works: Vacationers log into their Disney account and customize vacation plans, adding personal information such as birthdays, special needs, and credit card information. Once they arrive at Disney World, guests will receive interactive RFID bracelets, called MagicBands, which will serve as hotel room keys, a payment method once inside the park, and will track their every move, allowing Disney to give more customized offerings to each customer in the future.


Privacy Implications: While the MyMagic+ system will revolutionize the way we visit Walt Disney World, there are some privacy concerns raised by the use of so much personal customer data. While Disney has expressed awareness of privacy concerns, they have not yet mentioned the details of customer data storage-how long data will be stored, what it will be used for, systems in place to protect customer privacy-an important concern for customers visiting the park.
