Dear Hunter,

Okay, I admit it: this is the "Plan B" email I hoped I wouldn’t have to send. It’s the e-mail that says, simply: THANK YOU!

Thank you for your incredible commitment and hard work. Thank you for your generosity. Thank you for your support and your kind words. And most of all, thank you for being a part of our amazing team.

You and I started this campaign to focus on three things: education, education, and education! Because of your support and your voice, we pushed everybody's campaign to focus more on our dire need to invest appropriately in public education. I'm extremely proud of that.

Even though we didn’t have the result we wanted last night, one thing remains the same, and that’s the fact that to save Pennsylvania’s public schools, we must defeat and evict Tom Corbett! I told Tom Wolf I'd work hard to help him win, and I hope you’ll do the same. We need to win this in November.

Leigh and I have spoken often over the last few months about the large number of amazing people who have come forward to help us with this campaign. Please know that we are immensely GRATEFUL to you and others like you. I know that in the days and weeks ahead we'll summon much strength by recalling your many kindnesses. And in the journeys that lie ahead for us, we will endeavor to reflect the values we share with you.
