Got it. Let's continue to keep this on the agenda to discuss more specifically over the next week, including considering it against the timing of getting some the research back from our researchers and the Pres elections in Ukraine on the 25th.

Heather-
I just spoke to Devon and got a download on the call this morning. Sorry I was unable to join- emergency visit to the periodontist. I was telling Devon that I think we should consider drafting an op-ed in which I "explain" why I felt it important to become an independent director of Burisma. He said you all spoke about the same idea on the call. I know that it is debatable whether drawing further attention to myself right now is a good idea, but on balance I think it's important to set the record straight and provide a legitimate rationale for my taking on this role. I think that the piece should strive to convey a few key messages- 1- what is the role of an independent director- I am not an equity stake holder- I am not an employee of the company. 2- the importance of corporate responsibility and a "modern/ western" corporate structure in rebuilding Ukraine's economy. I believe this is as important to rebuilding a sustainable civil society in Ukraine as rebuilding their government. 3- Energy should not be used as a weapon, but Ukraine should be allowed to defend itself against eastern aggression by developing its own sources of clean natural gas. 4- the only people who should be concerned with our attempt to help develop a transparent and technically capable energy sector in Ukraine are those that profit from the status quo. Etc...

Rather, please circulate the inquiry/question to this group email list so that FTI can advise as quickly as possible as to their advice on whether to respond and, if so, what should be said and by whom. (Note that Ryan and Brian at FTI, with whom you just spoke, are part of the group email address you'll see in the "cc" line here, for FTI consulting.)
