We are pleased to share with you this special edition of Washington Insight, focused on the so-called fiscal cliff. The “cliff” was narrowly averted by Congress on January 1, 2013, when the Senate passed H.R. 8, the American Taxpayer Relief Act, early that morning, and the House passed the bill later that evening. In this issue, we discuss what was in the final bill that passed Congress, as well as provide a brief description of those issues that were left for the 113th Congress to resolve.
