Team PA -- RAD Round TwoAll, We all know the incredible talent, creativity and resourcefulness our Sailors bring to the Navy. Last year the Navy formalized a program to harness that talent with the Reduction of Administrative Distractions (RAD) initiative. It focused on ways to reduce admin processes that detract Sailors from warfighting first. The next round of RAD began May 15 and we need to empower our Sailors throughout our commands to get involved. I encourage you to add RAD to your recurring internal communication program and help us spread the word to the command triad (CO, XO, and CMC), and leaders throughout the chain of command. We all know the best way to communicate to the deckplate is through Quarters, POD announcements and through Captain's calls. Information is available on the RAD website https://navyrad.ideascale.com/ and the RAD Round Two initiative NAVADMIN at http://www.public.navy.mil/bupers-npc/reference/messages/Documents/NAVADMINS/NAV2014/NAV14117.txt Another method to communicate the message is to share the attached email from RDML Shelanski (RAD Lead and OPNAV N81) with your command triad that explain the RAD initiative. With your help communicating this program, we can empower our Sailors to make our Navy more efficient and help us focus on warfighting. v/r, CAPT CutlerIf you would rather not receive future communications from Navy Office of Information (CHINFO), let us know by clicking here.Navy Office of Information (CHINFO), Department of the Navy 1200 Navy Pentagon--Room 4B463, Washington, DC 20350-1200 United States
