I hate to interrupt your holiday break, but as
soon as tomorrow we could face a critical vote in the Senate on the
International Affairs Budget.

During the Senate's consideration of the emergency supplemental
appropriations
bill for Hurricane Sandy relief, which is expected to take place as
early as
tomorrow, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) will be offering an amendment to
slash
funding for the International Affairs Budget.

We need you to immediately mobilize your networks to fight these cuts.

Senator Paul's amendment
would rescind $9 billion in funding from the State-Foreign Operations
accounts
- a cut of nearly one-third to many key development and security
aid programs. These cuts are deeply
disproportionate and would place the costs of
Hurricane Sandy on the backs of critical national security and global
poverty
reduction programs.

Please immediately mobilize your members to contact their Senators in
opposition to these devastating cuts to International Affairs
programs.
