At last night’s Capital Bikeshare open house, the folks at the bike transit system gave cycling-related prizes to attendees who came closest to correctly answering obscure Capital Bikeshare trivia questions. Here at The Washington Post, we have no tangible prizes to give, but in very, very specific party settings, here are some Bikeshare facts you can dish to impress your friends.Read full article >> [Read full article »] <http://link.washingtonpost.com/544d41923b35d04a52901840286es.2xuj/VMp5UsPo_XySw439Ad38c>

Abraham Kamara, a fledgling Montgomery County rap artist who goes by the stage name “Honest Abe,” was sentenced to nine years in prison Thursday for three counts of decidedly dishonest behavior. Two charges were for trying to sell marijuana. The third — vividly documented by a police car dashboard camera submitted as evidence — was for fleeing an officer by leading him on a high-speed chase through residential neighborhoods from behind the wheel of a large box truck.Read full article >> [Read full article »] <http://link.washingtonpost.com/544d41923b35d04a52901840286es.2xuj/VMp5UsPo_XySw43-A5620>

RICHMOND — A panel of Virginia senators on Thursday advanced a bill that would let Dominion Power shield part of its books from independent scrutiny until 2023.The bill, filed by Sen. Frank W. Wagner (R-Virginia Beach) and drafted by Dominion, would let the utility giant skip routine public financial audits that sometimes lead to rate refunds or reductions for consumers. The measure maintains Dominion’s ability to ask for special permission to raise rates. Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan’s choice for transportation chief told a Senate committee Wednesday that he’ll keep an “open mind” about a Purple Line proposed for the Washington suburbs and another light-rail line planned for Baltimore, saying he hopes to make a recommendation to the governor about both projects’ futures in the next 90 days.Read full article >> [Read full article »] <http://link.washingtonpost.com/544d41923b35d04a52901840286es.2xuj/VMp5UsPo_XySw44BA93a2>

February’s hottest concerts: 50 Cent and G-Unit, Parquet Courts and more <http://link.washingtonpost.com/544d41923b35d04a52901840286es.2xuj/VMp5UsPo_XySw44CA65a8>

The run-up to festival season gives concertgoers a glorious month or two when there’s more new music and high-profile shows than one can possibly keep up with. Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu will come through town, but even more compelling is 50 Cent, who’s in the midst of a nostalgic (and remarkably well-received) reunion with G-Unit. These might not be the biggest shows in February, but they’ll certainly be the most entertaining.Read full article >> [Read full article »] <http://link.washingtonpost.com/544d41923b35d04a52901840286es.2xuj/VMp5UsPo_XySw44CA65a8>
