This afternoon's dismissal of Anthony Scaramucci marks the latest in an astonishing series of senior staff firings at the White House. While Donald Trump can try to blame Sean Spicer, Reince Preibus, or "The Mooch" for the chaos and incompetence in his administration, the real problem lies at the top. Trump ran for president on a message of being a master dealmaker and manager, but he can't even keep his own house in order. He has presided over an administration with no major accomplishments, characterized by executive abuse, incompetence, and backstabbing. The problem is - we can't fire the president. Only Congress can do that - and they won't as long as Paul Ryan and the Republicans are in control.
