Hunter- In response to Josh’s request on Munib here’s what John Sandweg suggested. If Munib is interested he can make a formal appeal to CBP. John is happy to help him do this and there would be a one-time $15,000 fee for John’s services. The appeal would require John’s partners, David Aguilar, former Commissioner of CBP, and Dennis Burke, former U.S. Attorney for Arizona to meet with CBP on Munib’s behalf. (John is still not able to meet with CBP as he hasn’t been out of his job at DHS long enough yet.) Munib’s presence in that meeting is not necessary but they would like to be able to say in that meeting that Munib is available to come to DC and meet with them as a follow up if they wish. John was very direct that the chances for success were 50/50 at best so it would be up to Munib to determine if he was willing to engage John without a guarantee of success. Let me know if you need more information. Best, Eric Eric D.
