EMAIL DETAILS

Alex said this may be something they want you to do but may be premature at the moment. I’ll get back to reporter and at least say I have passed on the message and will get back to her.

> Hi Eric:

> I'm a reporter with Yahoo News. Shailagh Murray or someone in the VP's office may have flagged that I would be contacting you. I wanted to put in a request to talk to Hunter Biden about a story I am working on about his dad.

> Basic summary is this: Nobody seems to thrive on public life more than Joe Biden. Few lawmakers besides LBJ have genuinely loved the job more than him—whether it’s working a rope line, getting in the thick of negotiating policy on the Hill or navigating the diplomatic front overseas. It’s hard to imagine Joe Biden not being Joe Biden, but eventually—whether that’s in 2017 or later--he faces the question of what to do beyond elected office. What is he thinking and feeling as he contemplates the next chapter? How has that been shaped by his time as VP? Obviously, there will be some mention of 2016, but this isn’t a breathless “Is he running for president?!” story, but rather a long view, big picture look at Biden as this pretty unique Washington character.
