...Tim was in California meeting with tech companies and providing updates on current legislation. These meetings are a part of C_TEC’s ongoing effort to bridge the gap between California and DC.

On July 18...
C_TEC hosted an Autonomous Vehicle working group with DCCP staff from the Energy and Commerce Committee to answer any questions about the AV bill.

On July 24...
...C_TEC and the Institute for Legal Reform sent a letter (https://t.e2ma.net/click/72ugzc/r2f0ql/zwot9n) to House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden and Ranking Member Frank Pallone to provide our support to the AV legislation.

On July 27...
...the House AV bill passed through markup in the Energy and Commerce committee.

JULIE STITZEL JOINS C_TEC TEAM

This month, Julie Stitzel joined our team as managing director for the Chamber Technology Engagement Center (C_TEC). In this role, Stitzel will direct the development and implementation of C_TEC’s policies and will represent the group on Capitol Hill as well as before the administration and other industry organizations.

On August 7, C_TEC will be attending the National Conference of State Legislatures in Boston, Massachusetts.

On August 22, C_TEC will host a UAV working group meeting.
