R.Hunter: In December, Donald Trump's FCC voted to end net neutrality, a decision that fundamentally changes the free and open internet and hurts everyday consumers.

If this vote becomes law, the consequences could be monumental.

Suddenly, you may have to pay more to access your email or may find that your favorite news outlet has been censored or blocked. It would mean higher prices and slower traffic, leaving families squeezed.

I refuse to let this happen without a fight. That is why I'm proud to support a bill that will restore our net neutrality rules, ensuring a free internet for all. However, as I write this, Sen. Mitch McConnell and the GOP have still refused to bring this legislation to a vote - and we're running out of time to overturn the FCC's decision before it becomes permanent law.
